Cabernet Franc is introduced into the Archipel blend with the 2000 vintage, providing additional character and structure to this contemporary Bordeaux blend. Unlike the 1999 vintage, both red and black fruit are present in the nose and on the palate. Mayacamas Mountain-grown Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc offer a hint of coffee and tobacco to complement the supple, juicy mouthfeel.

89 Points - "Medium ruby-red. Claret-like aromas of currant, coffee and tobacco. Lush and smooth, with nicely focused, intense flavors of currant and menthol. Not yet expansive but juicy, structured and firm." - Stephen Tanzer, The International Wine Cellar, June 2003
